We’ve had a few vehicle graphics to apply recently, on all
sorts of vehicles which range in size from a Vauxhall Corsa van to a car
Harris Signs has many years’ experience of providing signs for
vehicles and we can trace this area of our business back to when the company
was formed over 65-years ago. Of course back then all of our signs were hand
painted but today we use the very best vinyls and printed graphics to provide
the look that our customers want.

It’s great to get unsolicited thanks for the work that we
have completed, so it was great to receive a message from Morag Fisher at
This is what she said: “I just wanted to say thank you for a
great job you’ve done on the signs for our office and car park. I wasn’t here
when they were installed and wanted to pass on my thanks - they look fantastic.
“We’re really pleased to have used a local company, thank you.”

When a former employee wanted to dress up his mobile pizza
outlet he came straight to Harris Signs to help him out. JC, as we know him,
takes his mobile catering unit across the country to events and private

Leek Wootton’s under 9s football team celebrated their day
out at the Tysoe summer football tournament in true Fortnite fashion.
to replicate the moves created by characters in the Fortnite game has become
one of the most popular crazes of 2018… even Premier League footballers like Deli Alli are
celebrating their goals with Fortnite dances, so it was only right that the team from Kenilworth should follow suit!
Leek Wootton’s football kit is sponsored by Harris Signs.

Stuart Blaiklock, our Key Accounts Manager, was recently a guest at the official presentation of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise to one of our customers, The Green Sheep Group.
Green Sheep Group (GSG) has been established since 2006 and specialises in the design and manufacture of nursery baby products. In April this year GSG learnt that they had won a Queen's Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category, one of only 4 companies in the West Midlands to do so!
The official presentation of our Queen’s Award for Enterprise was presented by the Lord-Lieutenant of Warwickshire – Her Majesty’s formal representative in the county! Key personnel and the team from Green Sheep Group and dignitaries from the county were all in attendance to toast the occasion, including Minister for Education and MP for Stratford-upon-Avon Nadhim Zahawi.
And as one of their key suppliers of signs and exhibition materials, Harris Signs were invited too.

We’ve been working with the creative team at Center Parcs
for a number of years now and over the past few months have completed a number
of projects at all of their UK holiday villages. In June we completed the
rebranding of Sports Plaza, previously known as Jardin des
Sports at Longleat (see news item). Last month we provided new bespoke signage for the
archery facility at Woburn, this included new entrance, directional and
We have lots of experience
of working at their sites which are operation 365 days a year, so we understand
how important it is to create a safe
environments and not to impact on the enjoyment of their guests holiday. This often means that we work throughout the
night to complete a project.

Great to see Gordon Newstead, our Health and Safety Advisor,
last week. Gordon has been visiting Harris Signs for more than ten years and
always keeps us on the straight and narrow, so that we continue to maintain the
highest health and safety standards.
He has such attention to detail and despite our best efforts
always manages to spot something that we’ve missed…never anything major so for
example last week he noticed that one of the health and safety structure charts
on the staff noticeboard had not been updated. Gordon checks all of our health
and safety records including our RAMS, equipment check lists and maintenance
And of course this means that
when we come to annual renewal of our CHAS and ConstructionLine accreditations
it makes the process so much easier. Gordon feels like one of the team, but
very much a critical friend.
Gordon’s company, Fairview
Management Consultancy Ltd, provides business consultancy support,
including quality systems, environmental management and health and safety management.

Harris Signs supported Wear Purple For Elder Abuse Awareness Day on 15th June. The Team wore purple for the day and donated to Age UK Solihull to help raise awareness. Why purple you may ask? It is a colour recognised for dignity, respect and royalty. The same way we should treat our elders. Together we are showing the world we care about ending adult abuse, neglect and exploitation. #WEAAD
