Harris Signs has just completed a major signage project at the new Coventry University London Campus (CULC) building. The university's new campus is in the old Civic Centre in Dagenham, which was formerly the home of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. The building will open to students later this month and is the second campus location that the university now has in the capital.
Stuart Blaiklock, Key Accounts Manager, at Harris Signs said: “ Throughout the project we have worked closely with the university's in house design team. The brand includes the traditional Phoenix logo, which is used on all of Coventry University buildings, together with a specific design for both of their London campus locations.
“We have ensured that the signs that we have produced and installed reflect the university’s status as one of the country’s leading universities but will also work in sympathy with the eighty-year-old art deco style building.”
The signage completed on the building has included laser cut stainless steel external signs, a laser cut LED illuminated internal sign, window graphics and door signs.
Coventry University has had an unprecedented year of success including being named as 'University of the Year' in the annual Times Higher Education (THE) Awards as well as being named as 'Modern University of the Year' in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2016 for the third year running. The Guardian University Guide 2017 saw Coventry maintain its ranking of 15th and cement its pace as the top modern university in the UK.
